Seattle Street Art
Seattle has a lot of great street art - some big, some small, some official, and some made anonymously. Before I left for Boston, I went around my neighborhood, Eastlake, and took pictures of all the street art I could find. I walked from the southern end of Eastlake Avenue (closer to downtown) to the northern end (closer to the University District), and also found some artwork on the side streets.
Many areas of the city have unique themes to their municipally-sanctioned street art. Because Eastlake is close to Lake Union and also houses some big biological research institutions, the street corner sidewalks on Eastlake Avenue have stained glass decorations of microscopic organisms and other small matter.
