Farmers come to the market from all around the state with huge bins of vegetables and fruit. Some bring produce from as far away as Wenatchee, which is about three-and-a-half hours from Seattle. (Then again, I’ve been to Wenatchee, and if I lived there, I’d take any excuse to get out, so maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised that they make the drive every weekend.)

Seattle’s SeaFair thing was going on. SeaFair is… honestly, I don’t really know, because of rampant apathy. But anyway, people were watching the Blue Angels fly around.

This chard was at Willie’s Greens stand. Willie’s is an organic farm in Monroe, Washington. The women who work at the stand have very exciting tanktops that say "Willie’s Girl." They are green and have a carrot on them. If you can’t tell, I really want one of those shirts.

Oooo, great pictures of fruits and veggies. It would be nice if the 2 parts of the photo essay were together.
